An upgrade to the Sega Arcade fighting game Virtua Fighter 5 was rolled out today, according to Famitsu. Called Revision 1, it tweaks conditions for performing throws, tunes the characters' techniques, and ensures that holds are displayed correctly. The VF Terminal--a separate machine that players use to edit their character data--has been given the ability to reissue Virtua Fighter 5 Character Access Cards. Players can join a "card insurance" program using the terminal, allowing members of VF.NET to obtain another copy of their card as needed. However, reissuing the card takes a few days, and depending on the circumstances, players could find they've lost data or suffered a drop in ranking.
