Vin Diesel has gone on Instagram to hint at when the next Fast & Furious movie will hit theaters.

Vin Diesel, known for his role as Dominic Toretto in the Fast and Furious franchise, recently took to Instagram to hint at the release date of the upcoming sequel to Fast X. Diesel shared a photo of himself alongside Jason Momoa, who plays Fast X's villain, and suggested that the next installment in the Fast and Furious series is expected to be released on April 4, 2025.

"April 4th 2025… is less than 22 months away," Diesel wrote. "I love how expressive and collaborative all of the actors in our franchise feel coming into the World's Saga. Jason wanted to try something totally unique and special and ended up creating a scene stealing character that the world won't forget."

What Diesel doesn't clarify is whether the teased release date would be for The Rock's highly anticipated standalone bridge story, seamlessly connecting the narrative threads of the final movie in the franchise, or Fast X Part 2.

Diesel also thanked the fans for their continued support and emphasized the frequently underlined importance of the theme of family and loyalty in the franchise. Diesel also shared two mockup shots, one hinting at a potential rescue scene and another alluding to the fate of two characters in Arctic conditions.

Fast X, the most recent film in the franchise, featured Dom and his family facing off against Dante, portrayed by Momoa, the son of a deceased drug lord. Dante's character injected a darker and more uncertain element into the franchise, leaving the future of the family in question. The film concluded with Dom protecting his son from another attack orchestrated by Dante, leaving their fate unknown.

Diesel's post also revealed that Dante's character will play a significant role in the upcoming Fast X: Part 2 and will be featured in a spinoff bridging the gap between the two installments. The spinoff promises an intense confrontation between Dante and Hobbs, played by Dwayne Johnson, who had a hand in the demise of Dante's father.

Last week, Fast X zoomed past a box office take of $500 million worldwide after a May 19 release. For more, check out GameSpot's Fast X review.
