Gathering, a division of Take Two, has announced that Vietcong has gone gold. The Vietnam-era first-person shooter was developed by Illusion Softworks, the studio that created Mafia. In Vietcong, the player commands a US Special Forces team and will lead up to six squadmates through the jungles of Vietnam. The game has a story-based campaign that encompasses 20 single-player missions and includes multiplayer support for up to 64 players.

Vietcong is due out later this month. For more details on the game, check out our previous coverage.
