Vice City still on top in the UK

Rockstar Games' action sequel retains the number-one position in this week's Chart Track top-20 sales chart.

Comments

Given that EA Sports' latest FIFA and Harry Potter games are represented on the chart by no less than four different versions, it's no mean feat for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City to have maintained its hold on the top slot on Chart Track all-formats sales chart. This is noteworthy when you consider that not only is the game available only on one platform, but also that plenty of games stores are finding it difficult to keep in stock due to overwhelming demand.

This week's UK chart throws up very little in the way of surprises, although we might have expected to see Harry Potter's second outing enter the chart ahead of THQ's latest WWE SmackDown! title. A little further down the chart is Konami's Dancing Stage: Party Edition, which has obviously enjoyed a great first week on sale, cashing in on the series' ever-increasing popularity in UK arcades.
