Sega has provided new details regarding the North America and European releases of Valkyria Revolution, the upcoming continuation of the Valkyria series.

Previously slated for a release sometime between April and June, Revolution is now due out at the tail end of that window: It launches on June 27 in North America and June 30 in Europe. PS4 and Xbox One versions will be available both digitally and physically, while the Vita version will only be available as a download. It's priced at $40 (about £32/€37) on all platforms.

Now Playing: Valkyria Revolution - The Battlefield is Calling Trailer

Sega also announced a day-one edition for North America called the Vanargand Edition, which will be available in a limited supply at launch (or to anyone who preorders). This PS4/Xbox One version (pictured below) comes in a special box and features both a 12-song soundtrack CD and a metal pin featuring the Vanargand coat of arms. If you're in Europe, preorders and a limited supply of launch copies will simply come with the soundtrack.

Alongside all of this, a new trailer has been released. You can check it out at the top of this post.

Revolution is a part of the Valkyria series, but it differs from the Valkyria Chronicles games in some meaningful ways. It's set in a different universe and no longer features turn-based combat. It's also undergone some significant changes since the release of an early demo in Japan.
