Numerous players across social media and forums are reporting a game-breaking bug in Pokemon X and Y.

The bug relates to players saving in Lumiose City, the game's capital and largest city. Players affected by the bug are said to be unable to load their save files, with no apparant solution other than deleting and starting over.

Nintendo is yet to acknowledge the existence of the bug.

Both American and European versions of the game are said to be affected, alongside physical and digital copies of the game.

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y launched last week, and have sold over four million copies worldwide since launch.

Hopefully Nintendo patches this. Since they actually have the ability to patch their games now.

I have yet to run into this problem. The more specific conditions for the so-called bug is to save outside while in Lumiose City. I have saved in Lumiose City outside to quit the game around 3 times and not once have I been affected by it.

<< LINK REMOVED >> I read somewhere that it has to do with blue taxis that are on the street. If you save the game while a blue taxi is in your view then apparently the game can't re render it and then the game freezes. I'm not going to be saving on the streets of Lumiose City before Nintendo releases a patch but it does seem to be the taxi issue. Don't save when you see a taxi on your screen.

<< LINK REMOVED >> anywhere on the streets inside the city. Anyway, there is a fix. You apparently just turn off the system, remove the SD card and re-insert it. Then turn it back on. Another solution seems to be to press the Home button when loading your file after it goes black but before the music starts playing. Then, you can go back into the game and play normally.
