Users report save-corrupting bug in Pokemon X and Y

Numerous players across social media and forums are reporting a game-breaking bug in Pokemon X and Y.

The bug relates to players saving in Lumiose City, the game's capital and largest city. Players affected by the bug are said to be unable to load their save files, with no apparant solution other than deleting and starting over.

Nintendo is yet to acknowledge the existence of the bug.

Both American and European versions of the game are said to be affected, alongside physical and digital copies of the game.

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y launched last week, and have sold over four million copies worldwide since launch.

Actually Nintendo has already said that they are working on an update patch for the bug. I read about it in an article yesterday after looking up the bug thing on Google when a friend told me not to save in Lumiose city because it would crash the game. Just saying because this article makes it sound like Nintendo doesn't know about it.

I guess if your playing more than one game this would affect you but I haven't even shutdown the program since I got it, just close the lid and open again when I want to play. I do save just in case those red fruit cakes start causing power outages again and I got no where to recharge my 3DS :)

well i only ever save in Pokemon centres anyway (it's not like all your Pokemon getting KO'd ends the game anyway) so i just wont do it in this city, but i'm sure it will get patched soon
