GameSpot has acquired new details on Ubi Soft's upcoming Game Boy Color title, Disney's Aladdin. The game is based on the original Aladdin movie as Jafar, the sultan's evil advisor, is in search of the magical lamp and the genie within. Of course, the only person actually able to recover the lamp is Aladdin. He must battle the evil Jafar, recover the lamp, and save princess Jasmine in the process.

The game features 11 worlds, including the Aghrabah Market, the Desert, the Sultan's Dungeon, the Cave of Wonders, and Inside the Genie's Lamp. Players must run, jump, crouch, climb ropes, leap off flagpoles, and swing on clotheslines to advance through the many perils in the game. There are also several tongue-in-cheek animations such as palace guards who drop their drawers and camels that spit dirt wads.

Developed by Crawfish, Disney's Aladdin will be released for the Game Boy Color in September 2000.
