Infogrames' Melbourne House is currently working on a cartoony racer named Looney Tunes Spacerace that will appear exclusively on the Dreamcast console. The game will feature outlandish racing and will offer gameplay for up to four players simultaneously.

The game's back story goes as follows: The world famous ACME company is hosting a race event in which the winner will earn a one-year supply of his or her favorite ACME product. Needless to say, all the Looney Tunes characters join the race in their rockets. They will need to conquer six different planets and 12 tracks.

Players can choose from eight of their favorite cartoon characters such as Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Wile E.Coyote, and Daffy Duck. Two more can be unlocked through the course of the game. Naturally, the characters show no mercy and have plenty of secret weapons including portable holes, falling anvils, elephants, and instant storms.

A nice bonus gimmick is the pinball game, which is playable on the Dreamcast VM once the player has created a saved game.

The game will be released for the Dreamcast on October 18.
