Infogrames has confirmed that the playable demo for Unreal Tournament 2003, its upcoming first-person shooter, is at least a week from release and possibly two or three weeks away. No official release date for the demo was given, although developer Epic Games has stated that more information will be released when the demo is approximately a week from release. The full version of Unreal Tournament 2003 is scheduled for release this summer, and online retailers are estimating that it will be available in July or August.

Unreal Tournament 2003 is the follow-up to the award-winning multiplayer action game Unreal Tournament. The new game, which is built on Epic's next-generation Unreal technology, will include more than 30 arenas, more than 50 detailed characters, and a huge arsenal of weapons. The game will improve on its predecessor with better artificial intelligence, new special effects, and new game types. Unreal Tournament 2003 is in development at Digital Extremes.
