Although the top spots on the latest PC Data list of best-selling games went to veterans, Clive Barker's Undying made the list in the week after its release, fueled by great reviews across the board. The first-person action game takes place in and around a haunted mansion in Northern Ireland. Players assume the role of Patrick Galloway, a paranormal expert who is investigating the terrible curse that plagues the family of his friend, Jonathan Covenant. Galloway, armed with a pistol and his knowledge of the dark arts, must investigate the creepy Covenant estate in order to get to the bottom of the mystery. In what has become a very familiar sight, the top two spots on the list went to EA's virtual life game The Sims and its expansion pack The Sims: Livin' Large. Third place was reclaimed by Hasbro's theme park management game Roller Coaster Tycoon, which was bumped into fourth the week before by Sierra's stock car racing game NASCAR Racing 4. This week, Diablo II, the action-RPG from Blizzard, climbed to fourth place, while NASCAR Racing 4 slipped to fifth.
