Antonio Banderas has joined the latest incarnation of the long-in-production Uncharted movie project, according to a report from Variety. He will appear alongside Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, who are reportedly set to star as treasure hunter Nathan Drake and his mentor Victor "Sully" Sullivan respectively.

The film will be directed by Ruben Fleischer, who is best-known for helming 2009's Zombieland and the recent Venom. It's unclear what role Banderas will play. The actor recently received his first Oscar nomination at the latest Academy Awards, for his role in Pain and Glory.

Now Playing: Uncharted 4 Swearing Supercut

The Uncharted movie has languished in one form of production or another for many years, losing several noted directors in the process, including David O. Russell (American Hustle) and Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum). Travis Knight (Bumblebee) was the most recent director tapped for the project, but he left due to a scheduling conflict involving Holland's role as the MCU's Spider-Man. According to an interview with Holland, the film will begin shooting in 2-3 weeks.
