Uncharted 4 Launch Brings a Nathan Drake Emoji to Twitter for Some Reason

Celebrate the impending release by sharing Drake's face.

You can now express yourself on Twitter using not just words, gifs, and the standard assortment of emojis, but also with a new Nathan Drake emoji to celebrate the release of Uncharted 4.

As seen in the tweet below from Naughty Dog designer Alexandria Neonakis, writing a message with the hashtag #Uncharted4 summons the likeness of Drake, complete with scarf. Surprisingly, the motionless depiction exercises some restraint and doesn't kill any unnamed henchmen, though to be fair there's no telling what the rest of his body is doing elsewhere.

You'll need to be on the Twitter website in order to see the emoji; if, like me, you're more of a TweetDeck/TweetBot sort of person, you won't even know you're missing something.

This is not the first time Twitter has added emojis for marketing purposes; Star Wars ones came to the service last year, letting you punctuate messages with a surprised-looking C-3PO and company.

Uncharted 4 launches tomorrow, May 10, and represents the conclusion of Drake's story. It's also the final game in the series to come from Naughty Dog. For more, check out GameSpot's review. In the meantime, if you need a refresher on the franchise's story, give our video series a look:
