Ultimate Warrior having a Showdown

Acclaim's new Legends of Wrestling title to bring the notorious wrestler out of retirement.

Hoping to get a piece of the pro-wrestling revenue being pulled in by THQ's WWE Smackdown! series, Acclaim announced a new installment in its own mat-slapping franchise, Legends of Wrestling.

Legends of Wrestling: Showdown will mark a virtual return to the ring for the Ultimate Warrior, one of the more colorful (some would say eccentric) characters in pro-wrestling history. The game will also feature 70 other wrestlers, in addition to a wrestling tutorial and the "Create-A-Legend" build-your-own wrestler feature.

Acclaim is saying Legends of Wrestling: Showdown will be ready for a April 2004 release, and will be available for GameCube, Xbox, and PlayStation 2.
