The drought of good Kinect games ended last month with the release of Child of Eden, and Microsoft hopes to avoid the dry with the release of a Fruit Ninja Kinect and The Gunstringer double pack. The company today announced that the Ultimate Kinect Bundle will contain both Twisted Pixel's The Gunstringer and Half-Brick's Fruit Ninja, both of which will use the motion-sensing camera.

The Ultimate Kinect Bundle will cost A$49.95 and be available from September 17 in stores around Australia. Don't be fooled into thinking that both games are on the disc, though, with The Gunstringer taking up space on the DVD, while fruit fans will need access to Xbox Live to be able to download the title by redeeming a code.

The Gunstringer is the latest game from Twisted Pixel, the studio behind The Maw and 'Splosion Man. The company's latest outing will take advantage of the Kinect's full-body tracking capabilities, getting players to use their bodies to control the marionette main character onscreen. Fruit Ninja Kinect, on the other hand, sticks fairly closely to the formula established by the touch-screen version of the game, making the transition to the Kinect and each player using his or her limbs to slice digital food.

Fruit Ninja Kinect will also be available separately from the Xbox Live Arcade Marketplace from August 10, while The Gunstringer will be out solo in early September.
