With no significant new titles released for the week of December 31 to January 6, the sales charts experienced a simple reshuffling as the holiday buying frenzy turned into a January spending slump.

As a result, EA dominated the top of the UK all-formats chart once again with a total of six titles in the top 40, including the top three. FIFA 07 held on to its No. 1 spot, tailed by Need for Speed Carbon in second, and The Sims 2: Pets at three.

Titles on the rise this week included Canis Canem Edit (Bully in the US), which moved up three places to No. 5; Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, up six to eight; Buzz! Junior: Jungle Party, up 16 to 23; and Rayman Raving Rabbids, up five to 27.

On the other side of the coin, titles dropping down the charts included WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2007, down five slots to No. 11; Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training (Brain Age in the US), down three to 12; Tomb Raider: Legend, down eight to 21; and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: Party Edition, down 10 to 33.

New releases that could show up on next week's charts include the highly anticipated (and heavily marketed) Lost Planet: Extreme Condition for the Xbox 360, and other titles including WarioWare: Smooth Moves for the Wii, World Pool Championship 2007 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2, and Children of Mana for the Nintendo DS.
