UK game charts: December 17-23
Need for Speed Carbon tussles with FIFA 07 to regain the number one spot.
Electronic Arts has had another good run at the registers for the week of December 17-23, with Need for Speed Carbon and FIFA 07 again jockeying for position on the UK all-formats chart. EA's latest racer outsold its football game to move back into the top slot for the week. Slightly further down the charts, Pro Evolution Soccer 6, Call of Duty 3, The Sims 2: Pets, and WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2007 all changed places within spots three to six.
There was one new entry for the week, Sega's Sonic Rivals on the PlayStation Portable at 38, and several reentries, including Ubisoft's Red Steel for the Wii at 34 and Nintendo's Big Brain Academy for the DS at 37.
The highest climber of the week was Eragon, which rose 15 places to 24, no doubt buoyed by the film's theatrical release in the UK. Conversely, the biggest loser of the week was Bratz: Forever Diamonds, which fell 10 places to 27.
As more console units hit the shops, many Wii titles were on the rise, including The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess--up one place to 11--and Rayman Raving Rabbids, which reentered the chart at 32.
