Ubisoft ships Chessmaster on Xbox

Ubisoft today announced that Chessmaster, the first dedicated chess title to appear on the Xbox system, has shipped to retail stores and is available now. The latest entry in the long-running series features a new Chessmaster Academy mode where players can learn from International Master Josh Waitzkin, the chess prodigy who was the subject of the film Searching for Bobby Fischer, and Grandmaster Larry Christiansen. Having polished their skills, players can head onto Xbox Live and challenge opponents for a spot in the online player rankings. Rated "E" for Everyone, the title carries an SRP of $19.99.
