Ubisoft has revealed that it's added some new features and updates to the Ubisoft Connect PC client. The PC beta will begin rolling out gradually over the coming months.

The client is receiving more streaming capabilities from Ubisoft Connect, allowing players to see what their friends are playing and who they're interacting with. Additionally, the user interface is getting an overhaul. The way games were displayed before was more vertical, resembling physical art boxes. Now games show a more horizontal format to fit better on a digital screen.

Users will also now be able to see the progress of game downloads, whether they can play it, or if there's an update available. There'll be only one tech stack used to build UI components so that the experience will be quicker and more seamless.

Ubisoft+ has also been integrated into the game library, so everything related to the user's games and subscription is all in one place and unifies the experience for players. "The goal is also to get the most feedback possible from our players, so we'll have a feedback system built directly into the app. We are eager to hear what our players think," creative director Charles Huteau explains.
