The Xbox 360 version of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 looks set to be a popular game on Xbox Live when it's released later this month, and publisher Ubisoft is giving Australian and New Zealand players a chance to win some cold hard cash just by competing online.

Ubisoft has announced an Xbox Live tournament for GRAW2, with the overall winner taking home A$10,000 ($7717). Other prizes will include a limited-edition GRAW2 themed Xbox 360 unit, Ubisoft prize packs, and GRAW2 faceplates. The tournament is open only to Aussie and Kiwi residents aged 15 years and over. The tournament's official Web site says entries will close on April 16, 2007, with the competition itself scheduled for later the same month.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 will be released Down Under on March 8. More information about the Ubisoft tournament is available on its official site.
