Ubisoft Announces Digital Showcase For This Summer
Ubisoft Forward will take place this July, and the studio promises "exclusive game news, reveals and more."
Ubisoft has announced a summer digital showcase seemingly in place of its usual E3 presentation. Ubisoft Forward will take place on July 12 at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET.
The teaser on Twitter didn't show any of the games that will be shown, but it does promise "exclusive game news, reveals and more."
It's a likely bet that Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which the company recently announced and promised much more details to come, will be among the games shown. We may see more of other upcoming games slated for release before March 31, 2021--Watch Dogs Legion, Gods and Monsters, Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Roller Champions. Ubisoft also still has another unannounced game in the works.
Save the Date! Join us July 12 for Ubisoft Forward, a fully digital showcase with exclusive game news, reveals and more 🎉 Stay tuned... #UbiForward pic.twitter.com/JLYEyF1YnL

Ordinarily Ubisoft's big summer showcase would take place in June as part of E3, but that show has been canceled. The ESA subsequently dropped plans to organize a digital event under the E3 banner, instead leaving individual publishers to announce and hold their own events. Microsoft and EA have already announced their plans, and we expect more to come. Some developers are also teaming up for a collective of announcements.
