Capcom has released a pair of new Resident Evil 7 gameplay videos. The clips are very brief, showcasing some of the game's features. The first video spotlights the horror game's save point system, which involves finding cassette tape recorders to mark your progress.

The second video shows off some of the things you can do with your knife that do not involve killing. As you'll see, you can use your knife to open containers, either with brute force or by way of a more surgical approach. Check out the two videos below.

These videos follow the first two in the Volume series that started last week. One of those videos teased that a character from past games may return, while the other showed off a shotgun.

Last month, Capcom released an update for the Resident Evil 7's Beginning Hour demo called the "Twilight" demo. It allows players to explore "more of the mysterious, derelict mansion" featured in it.

Resident Evil 7 is set to release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 24, 2017. A deluxe version of Resident Evil 7 will be available for $89.99 and includes the game and a season pass with three extra story chapters.

GameSpot recently got the opportunity to play the upcoming survival-horror game and found that it continues to break tradition.

A new Resident Evil movie, The Final Chapter, also comes out in January 2017. At New York Comic-Con this month, Sony released a full-length trailer for the movie that teased an epic conclusion.
