Tribes 2 Now Alpha

In a post to the Tribal War forum, Dynamix's Dave Georgeson confirmed that Tribes 2 has officially reached alpha status. According to Georgeson, the alpha version of Tribes 2 still has a long way to go until it can be considered finished. Georgeson said, "All the major functionality is in, and we've finished creating the list of things we need to do in order to make it shine. We'll start implementing those now, and in a few weeks you should be able to see some major improvements in the screenshots."

Dynamix will announce its beta-testing plans in a few weeks. Tribes 2 is currently slated to hit store shelves sometime this fall.
