Just Trains, part of the Just Flight group, has today announced that it will publish Trainz Railroad Simulator 2004 in the UK and Holland later this year. The game, which will be known as Trainz Railway Simulator 2004 in Europe, is currently in development at Australia-based Auran Games.

"In what will be a pivotal year for the train simulators, we see this partnership with Auran and Trainz as cementing our position as the number one publisher in this genre," said Mungo Amyatt-Leir, managing director of Just Trains. "We've been watching Trainz evolve and improve over each successive version, and we're sure that the increased level of realism and interactivity in this latest release will be just what many fans have been looking for."

Trainz Railroad Simulator 2004 will challenge players to establish and maintain successful railways all over the world and will feature more than 50 authentic trains, including steam and diesel locomotives as well as modern electric models. Players will be able to take on a number of different responsibilities in the game as they assume the roles of engineer, yardmaster, route builder, and operations manager.

Trainz Railroad Simulator 2004 is currently scheduled for release in North America in October and in Europe later this year. For more information, check out our previous coverage of the game.
