Trailer For Horror Movie Smile Is The Scariest Thing You'll See Today

The first trailer for the horror movie Smile has arrived, and it's probably going to be the scariest thing you see today. The movie follows doctor Rose Cotter, played by Sosie Bacon (Mare of Easttown), whose patient dies in front of her after informing her about a horror that she witnessed that made her smile.

Whatever she saw seemingly gets passed on to Rose--a la The Ring, It Follows, The Grudge, etc.--and she begins to experience horrifying occurrences that she cannot explain. "As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality," reads a line from the film's description.

The trailer is very unsettling, and you'll want to be sure to watch all the way to the end for an especially upsetting scene. Check it out:

Smile is written and directed by Parker Finn and is being released by Paramount Pictures in theaters on September 30. In addition to Bacon, it features Rob Morgan, Kal Penn, and Kyle Gallner.
