Tower Of God Reveals More Characters In A New Trailer

Crunchyroll's "Character Trailer" reveals the voices of many of the tower's unique inhabitants.

Crunchyroll has released a new trailer for its highly anticipated original production Tower of God, based on the Webtoon of the same name from Korean creator Lee Jong-hui, who is also known as SUI.

The new trailer digs into some of the characters that protagonist Twenty-Fifth Baam will meet on his journey, and has revealed voice acting for some of the most popular characters with readers of the Webtoon.

The newly revealed cast include Nobuhiko Okamoto of My Hero Academia fame as Khun Aguero Agnes, fellow MHA actor Kenta Miyake as Rak Wraithraiser, and Steins;Gate's Mariko Honda as Yuri Jahad. A number of other characters have been revealed in the news post here.

The anime is being helmed by Neon Genesis Evangelion alumni Takashi Sano, showing Crunchyroll has gone all out on their first round of original productions.

Crunchyroll's adaptation of Tower of God was one of eight new anime announced by the company in 2020. With over 4.5 billion views, Tower of God has also been the most profitable series on Webtoon for 10 years straight--so there's already a sizeable audience ready and waiting for the animated adaptation.

The story follows Baam, a boy living beneath the titular tower, who ventures into its mysterious insides to follow his best friend Rachel.

The Webtoon is still being published, so you can read it here while waiting for the anime to premiere on April 1.
