Torrie Wilson, bilingual?

I just got a received copy of THQ's WWE Smackdown vs.Raw for the PS2, a game I've been keeping my eye on for a while now. Ever since the Smackdown series began, I've been curious with how WWE game's story mode will turn out. Storylines are so integral to televised wrestling that it only follows that videogames follow suit. While I'll have more impressions about the game play in Smackdown vs. Raw later this week, I wanted to mention something that struck me as funny in the game's Season mode.

Starting the career with my rookie wrestler, Jeff Dowder (extra credit to those who can idenfity where I got that name), I walked into a disagreement between Tajiri and his manager, the lovely Torrie Wilson. Turns out the two are at loggerheads about one thing or another and it's prime time for a REAL man (like Jeff Dowder) to step in and co-opt Ms. Wilson as his manager. The game features actual voice work by Tajiri and Wilson (and the game will feature the voices of many other Smackdown and Raw grapplers). The only problem is: When did Torrie Wilson become fluent in Japanese? Because I'm playing the game, I'm treated to subtitles of Tajiri's cruel harangues, but apparently Wilson has no such need and is able to perfectly understand his rantings.

Perhaps, in choosing to focus merely on her more obvious assets, we understimated Ms. Wilson. Looks like the folks at THQ didn't make that same mistake.
