Top-Selling PC Games

Havas, Microsoft, and Electronic Arts dominate the PC Data list.

The Conquerors Expansion rose from third place to first place in the last week of August in PC Data's weekly sales report, while Diablo II finally slipped from the top of the list to fourth place. The popular role-playing game from Havas Interactive had been at the top of the charts since its release at the end of June. Electronic Arts captured the number two and three slots with The Sims: Livin' Large expansion pack and The Sims, respectively. Madden NFL 2001 climbed to fifth place from sixth, giving Electronic Arts three of the top five games. Microsoft's Age of Empires II: Age of Kings remained at eighth place, boosted by the recent release of the Conquerors Expansion.
