Top 10 UK Sales Chart - FIFA 18 Denies Call Of Duty: WW2 A Series Record

Top of the table.

After reaching nine consecutive weeks at the top of the UK physical sales chart last week--the same number in a row as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 reached after its 2009 launch--Call of Duty: WWII was one more No.1 away from breaking a series record. However, FIFA 18 starts the new year strongly at the chart's summit, meaning the latest Call of Duty must settle for equaling the franchise record.

Below the perennially popular pair lies another long-term favorite, Grand Theft Auto V, which finishes in the top 40 for the 225th consecutive week, according to sales monitor GfK Chart-Track. The open-world game has never finished outside the top 40 since its original launch in 2013, and 85% of its placements have been in the top 10.

Elsewhere, the physical Xbox One version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds re-enters the top 10 for the week ending January 6. It's at No.7 this week, and recently passed 3 million concurrent users on PC.
