Top 10 UK Sales Chart: Deus Ex Mankind Divided Takes No.1, But Human Revolution Debut Was "Stronger"

Attack on Titan Wings of Freedom also lands in top 10.

Square Enix's Deus Ex: Mankind Divided takes the top spot on the UK sales chart for the week ending August 30. However, as noted by sales monitor Chart-Track, the previous game in the series, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, had a "much stronger" debut.

Chart-Track continues to say Human Revolution launched "to a market with close to double the current installed base" the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 have. This likely contributes significantly to the difference in sales numbers.

Further down the chart Madden NFL 17 makes its debut at No.5, while racing title Assetto Corsa arrives at No.8. Attack on Titan Wings of Freedom, developed by Dynasty Warriors studio Omega Force and published by Koei, lands at No.10 in its first week on sale.

You can see the full top 10 in the list below. This table does not include digital sales data, and thus should not be considered representative of all UK game sales.

  1. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
  2. F1 2016
  3. No Man's Sky
  4. Overwatch
  5. Madden NFL 17
  6. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
  7. Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  8. Assetto Corsa
  9. Grand Theft Auto V
  10. Attack on Titan Wings of Freedom

I really tried to like Deus Ex Mankind Divided. Something is missing and much preferred Human Revolution.

Had it on pre-order, played for about 3 hours, decided mehhhhhh, trading back in tomorrow.

@art_of_victory: why tho? mankind divided is human revolution on steroids, the core gameplay is the same but it's improved. it's better than human revolution in every aspect, the main story isn't better but everything else is better. what problem are you facing?

DXHR also had less demanding PC specs, because I could play it on a dual core laptop that wasn't meant for heavy gaming. This new Deus Ex game has specs like The Witcher 3.

The gameplay and visuals have been greatly improved compared DHR but the writing/story felt deeply incomplete and slightly underwhelming. I didn't feel the same satisfaction i had at the end of DHR. So many set up that led to nowhere in this game. But something tells me, judging by the focus on microtransactions, that some of those loose ends are going to be closed via dlc...

@Gomtor: This.

I often save and quit just before going on the train, so that when I come back I can let the game complete both loadings while I go eat or do other things. But since I have to plan my gameplay accordingly, it does affect my enjoyment of the game. Every time I see "Travel to _____" in my quests, I kinda cringe because I know I'll have to wait like 5 minutes on the train.

I love pretty much everything else though, so yeah I agree with your score.
