Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has started 2017 as it ended 2016, beating FIFA 17 to the top of the UK physical sales chart.

EA's footballing giant still performs strongly at No. 2, though sales were down 72 percent from the previous week according to sales monitor Chart-Track.

Grand Theft Auto V continues to sell well, placing at No. 3, with Battlefield 1 and Forza Horizon 3 following up at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively. Outside the top five, Pokemon Sun experienced a huge resurgence (up 91 percent week-on-week) thanks to renewed stock; it placed at No. 9, up from No. 36.

The week ending January 7 is Infinite Warfare's eighth week at No. 1, suggesting strong sales since its disappointing opening week. GTA V, meanwhile, has sold over six million copies in the UK alone, and Forza Horizon 3 was the best-selling racing game of 2016, according to Microsoft.
