Tony Hawk's Proving Ground soundtrack revealed

Activision today announced the 50-song soundtrack for Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, which includes a new Foo Fighters track from their upcoming album.

The Tony Hawk series has always included a lengthy and diverse list of artists in its game audio, with a focus on fully capturing every aspect of the skate lifestyle. Tony Hawk's Proving Ground--the ninth game in the series--looks to be no exception, and will merge the two subcultures even further with the news that Beastie Boys founding member MCA (Adam Nathaniel Yauch) will feature as an unlockable, playable character in the game.

The full soundtrack lineup features plenty of big-name artists, including Australian band Airbourne, as well as the Beastie Boys, Bloc Party, Jurassic 5, Smashing Pumpkins, The Clash, and Nirvana. The soundtrack contains over 50 songs in total, among them a brand-new Foo Fighters track called "The Pretender" from their soon-to-be-released album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace.
