Back in April, Eidos Interactive unveiled a new sporty Lara Croft, the heroine for the upcoming action game Tomb Raider: Legend, a game Eidos hopes will return the franchise to its former glory. A week later, the company revealed the game's Web site, but it wasn't quite fleshed out.

Now, the company has a new-look Web site to go with the new-look Lara. The revamped Internet destination has new screenshots that show Lara in some creepy mausoleums, atop vast waterfalls, and in booby-trapped mine shafts.

Other new visual treats on the site include concept art and user-submitted fan art. For those who want to see what goes on in the mind of Lara's creator, there's also a lengthy interview with Toby Gard. Gard details the reasons behind Lara's new look, as well as the future of the franchise.

Fans can also register on the site for some bonus features, including VIP screenshots and a 3D picture of Ms. Croft.

Tomb Raider: Legend is currently in development by Crystal Dynamics for the PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox, Xbox 360, and PSP. The game's release date has been in flux, but recent retail reports point to a 2006 release date, which sources have confirmed with GameSpot.
