ToeJam & Earl announcement forthcoming?

Sega has issued a mock press release in which the company claims its San Francisco headquarters has been invaded by three aliens--two of whom bear a strong resemblance to ToeJam and Earl. The third alien character seems to be the same character featured in movies from the ToeJam & Earl game that was originally in development for the Dreamcast.

The release has prompted speculation that an announcement regarding a new ToeJam & Earl game for one of the current-generation consoles is forthcoming. No information regarding the development of such a game has been officially released, but expect to hear something soon.
