Codemasters has today confirmed that it will be retaining the TOCA motorsport license for Race Driver 2 in Europe. Previously it was announced that the game would be known simply as Race Driver 2, the same as in North America.

"Securing the TOCA name guarantees the future for this established and immensely powerful motorsport gaming brand," said Nick Wheelwright, managing director at Codemasters. "For gamers, the TOCA series is the number one choice in realistic racing, and TOCA Race Driver 2 maintains that key value and drives it forward with an incredible variety of motorsports."

Race Driver 2 will also carry different motorsport licenses in other PAL territories. It will be published as DTM Race Driver 2 in Germany and Benelux and as V8 Supercars 2 in Australia and New Zealand. For more information, check out our previous coverage of the game.
