As part of his trip to the United States this past week for the DICE Summit, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima traveled to Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment's studio in California and met with its co-founder Vince Zampella. While we don't know what they talked about, we do know that Zampella is happy to see Kojima start his new studio.

"It was wonderful to see you, as always," Zampella said in a tweet to Kojima. "I'm so glad you are ready to kick ass again."

Respawn is not the first studio that Kojima has traveled to in recent months. In January, Kojima, along with PlayStation 4 architect Mark Cerny, embarked on a 10-day world tour in search of the "newest technology." He stopped at Sony's North American headquarters, met with Star Wars: The Force Awakens director JJ Abrams, and visited Media Molecule, Guerrilla Games, and Quantic Dream, among others.

This week at the DICE Summit, Kojima and his Silent Hills collaborator Guillermo del Toro appeared on stage together for a presentation in which they discussed video games, film, and more. GameSpot also caught up with Kojima, who told us about his "edgy" new game and more.

Kojima left Konami in December 2015, which was also when he announced the formation of a new studio and a deal with Sony for his first post-Konami game. It will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 on consoles and is also coming to PC.

At the DICE Awards this past week, Kojima was inducted into the group's Hall of Fame. His latest game, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, also took home the award for Adventure Game of the Year.
