GameSpot has learned that Namco plans to release an updated version of Time Crisis 2 for the Sony PlayStation 2. When contacted regarding the game, a Namco representative confirmed that the game is indeed in development for the PS2 and will be officially announced at the upcoming E3 show in Los Angeles. Specific details are scarce at this time, but an USB-compatible PlayStation 2 GunCon peripheral should come packaged with the game.

GameSpot will have further information on Time Crisis 2 for the PS2 following its official unveiling at E3 in May. Namco has already announced Time Crisis: Project Titan for the Sony PlayStation. That game picks up after the end of Time Crisis 2 and follows the ongoing adventures of Richard Miller.
