Tiger Woods to compete in N-Gage Arena

Nokia and Electronic Arts announce that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 will be released for the N-Gage in the first half of 2004.

Nokia and Electronic Arts have today announced that an N-Gage version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 is currently in development and is scheduled for release during the first half of 2004. The game will make use of the N-Gage's connectivity features through an N-Gage Arena leaderboard, and players will have the ability to download additional content, including extra courses and the like.

"As the first sports title that incorporates features from N-Gage Arena, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 brings the excitement and tension of golf into the mobile realm," said Pasi Pölönen, director of game publishing for the entertainment and media business unit at Nokia. "The multiplayer features of the N-Gage game deck enable a completely new way to experience golfing on a mobile device. Now even the most dedicated golf fans can take the experience with them, wherever they go."

"This gives early adopters another strong EA franchise to play on the N-Gage," said EA's executive vice president of North American publishing, Nancy Smith. "Now fans of the Tiger Woods PGA Tour franchise can play and compete anywhere."
