Activision has already signed an impressive stage billing for DJ Hero 2, with artists ranging from Metallica to Lady Gaga to The Chemical Brothers all lending tracks to the rhythm game. Today, the publisher added another big name from the club scene, announcing that DJ Tiesto will offer two exclusive mixes for DJ Hero 2, as well as join Deadmau5, David Guetta, and DJ Qbert as playable characters.

Tiesto's work can be heard both behind the turntables and in the producer's booth for a number of high-profile entertainers. As a DJ, Tiesto's crowning achievements include a performance during the opening ceremony of the 2004 Athens Summer Olympic Games. The Grammy-nominated artist has also collaborated with the likes of Muse, Justin Timberlake, Three 6 Mafia, and others. He has also headlined such music festivals as Coachella and Bonnaroo.

In development at FreeStyleGames, DJ Hero 2 is due for release this fall on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii. Building on last year's turntable-powered rhythm game, DJ Hero 2 adds in new features, such as freestyle scratching, cross-fading, and sampling. It also includes a new single-player career mode, as well as a variety of new multiplayer options. FreeStyleGames has included a karaoke element as well, with players able to now sing along with the beats in Party Play mode.
