Tiberian Sun's Golden Beginning

Westwood Studios has announced that the long-awaited Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun has been completed and sent to manufacturing. The game should start shipping shortly and should hit worldwide distribution by August 27. The first 50,000 who preorder the title at Babbage's or Electronics Boutique will receive a special platinum edition. Best of all, the minimum requirement to play is only a Pentium 166 with 32MB, although we really never suggest that a minimum spec is the best spec.

Later this month, GameSpot will host an exclusive feature called The Final Hours of Tiberian Sun. GameSlice editor and GameSpot's Behind the Games editor Geoff Keighley was on hand at Westwood Studios during the chaos of finishing what could be the most highly anticipated game of the year.
