THQ just keeps on truckin'. The publisher today announced that Big Mutha Truckers 2 will hit the open road of retail next summer. The sequel to last year's professional trucking game will hit the PlayStation 2 and Xbox and is being developed by UK-based Eutechnyx.

The game continues the story of Ma Jackson, proprietor of Big Mutha Truckers Haulage, only this time the matriarch of the company has gotten in a bit of trouble with the IRS. It's up to gamers to raise funds to pay for her high-profile lawyer and juror bribes.

Truckers will have to adopt the life of the highway to raise funds and get Ma out of trouble. Gamers will trade goods between cities using the well-worn doctrine of "buy low, sell high" to make some quick bucks. Other features of the game include new routes between cities, hidden shortcuts to slash time, and bonus vehicles to drive.
