The game, being co-developed by programmers from both Sega and Yukes, will feature more than 20 authentic superstars, including The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Triple H. For the first time, WWF Royal Rumble will also give players the opportunity to square off with nine wrestlers on the screen at once, and it will feature numerous backstage arenas.

"There has been much anticipation with regard to our WWF plans on the popular Dreamcast system," said Brian Farrell, president and CEO of, THQ. "This unique partnership with Yukes and Sega will bring all the excitement of the arcade game home to Dreamcast fans."

Under the production agreement, THQ/JAKKS Pacific will publish the Sega Dreamcast version in North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, while Sega will distribute the Naomi arcade version worldwide. Both the Dreamcast and the Naomi version will be released in fall 2000 worldwide.
