Oscar-winner filmmaker Taika Waititi directed Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder, but will he come back if Marvel makes another Thor film? Don't count on it. He told Business Insider that he doesn't know if Marvel is planning any more Thor movies, but he is certain of one thing.

"I know that I won't be involved," he said.

Waititi said he's planning to focus on other projects instead, including The Incal and his Star Wars movie. That film is "still marinating," Waititi said. He's also lined up to direct Klara and the Sun as his next film.

Waititi said he wouldn't come back for another potential Thor movie until after he's done with all of these projects, and that could be in six or seven years. Waititi guessed that Marvel would want to make another Thor before then, so he wouldn't be available, even if he was interested.

He said he's a big fan of Marvel and Thor actor Chris Hemsworth. That said, Waititi explained that he would be open to another director stepping in to make a potential fifth Thor movie.

"I would never feel like they are cheating on me," he said. "We're in an open relationship, and it's like if they want to see other people, I'm happy for that. I'd still get back into bed with them one day."

Waititi might not be the only person not coming back for another Thor movie. Hemsworth recently spoke about how he doesn't want to overstay his welcome and that he believes fans may be growing tired of him in the role. Hemsworth also recently reflected how Thor: Love and Thunder makes him cringe because it became too silly for his liking.

In other MCU news, The Marvels recently opened in theaters and is doing poorly by comparison to other Marvel movies.
