Tired of slaying monsters and going on adventures in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as Geralt? A new mod lets you play as a number of the open-world game's female characters, including Triss, Yennefer, Ciri, and Shani. NexusMods users ParKan has created a mod that gives you the option to play as someone new.

Note that whatever character you use will have Geralt's animations during combat and his dialogue in some scenes. In addition, the replacement character will have Geralt's voice and other sounds.

Take a look at the video above, from the NexusMods page, to see how this looks in action (via Polygon).

ParKan warns that you may run into issues if you're not playing The Witcher 3 on Steam version 1.11. In addition, the mod may not be compatible with other mods that use xml editing. On top of that, there are some issues when certain armor sets are applied and it doesn't work with New Game+ right now.

Head to this NexusMods page for a full instruction directions and more.

The Witcher 3 was released in May this year behind rave reviews, including a 10/10 from GameSpot. Just recently, the RPG took home the overall Game of the Year award at The Game Awards, while CD Projekt Red won Developer of the Year. As of August, The Witcher 3 had sold 6 million copies.

Next up for the game is its Blood and Wine expansion, which launches in 2016. The first images for this expansion were released earlier this month, showing off the colorful world of Toussaint.
