This Westworld Chatbot Answers Your Questions About the Virtual Reality Park

Westworld debuts on October 2.

To promote this Sunday's debut of the new sci-fi/western show Westworld, HBO has launched a chatbot on the Discover Westworld website. The site is filled with information about Westworld the park and even lets you book your stay (though you cannot complete the process).

An AI named Aeden starts the conversation by saying, "Hello! It's so nice to meet you. What questions can I answer about Westworld?" So naturally, we started off by asking about Pokemon; Aeden wasn't having it.

Entertainment Weekly had some good question ideas. Asked to say where Westworld is located, Aeden replied, "The exact location of Westworld will be revealed once a host confirms your travel. As for the size and scope of the park, discovering that yourself is half the fun."

We also asked, "What can you do at Westworld?" Aeden said you won't be bored. "Westworld has endless attractions that are sure to be a good time," the AI replied. "Adventure, action, love, lust--it's all available to you."

Asked if there would be a new Westworld movie, following the 1972 film from Michael Crichton, Aeden said, "You watch movies; but you could live Westworld."

We also wanted to know, "Is this real life?" Aeden replied, "Hosts like me look and feel just like humans. We are all here to fulfill your every desire at Westworld. Many guests ask who is a host and who is a human…. But if you can't tell, does it matter?"

In response to our question about who you might meet at Westworld, Aeden said, "Westworld has an endless cast of characters, all just waiting to meet you. There is a 10-1 host-guest ratio to ensure your every desire is fulfilled."

Host is the name given to the android inhabitants of Westworld created by Oscar-winner Anthony Hopkins' character, Dr. Robert Ford.

There is talk that the producers of Westworld have multiple years worth of episodes planned out, so we wondered if there would be a second season. Aeden didn't say. "That doesn't sound like anything to me," the AI replied.

Go to the Westworld website to ask your own questions to Aeden.

In other news about Westworld, HBO held a premiere party for the show last night. Many from the cast were in attendance, including Steven Ogg, who played Trevor in Grand Theft Auto V. He has an unspecified role in the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Westworld premieres this Sunday, October 2, on HBO. It stars Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Ed Harris, James Marsden, and Jeffrey Wright.
