As part of Pokemon's 25th anniversary celebrations, The Pokemon Company has partnered with a jeweler to create a £19,500/$26,000 USD Pikachu crystal and other high-end pieces.

The famous French jeweler Baccarat worked with Japanese artist Hiroshi Fujiwara on the Pikachu Fragment, which is aimed at collectors who have deep pockets. "With its imposing dimensions, Pikachu Fragment symbolizes the unique know-how of Baccarat artisans," reads a line from its description (via VGC). "Multi-faceted and engraved with the 'Electric' logo, Pikachu radiates more than ever to salute this very special year with brilliance."

The Pikachu Fragment is 11.8 inches tall and 5.7 inches wide. It weights 8.3kg, which is about 18 pounds. Only 25 of them are being produced, so it is indeed a rare item. So rare is the item that you need to call Baccarat or talk to a representative in a store to buy the item.

For the more modest shopper, Baccarat is offering a £310/$420 USD Poke Ball crystal and a much smaller Pikachu crystal for £340/$460 USD.

In other news, there will be a new Pikachu/Eevee float at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade this year to celebrate the franchise's 25th anniversary. In terms of game releases, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl are releasing on November 19, though the games have already leaked.
