This is Why Game of Thrones' Jon Snow Is in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Kit Harington says it was "very fun" to play the game's "madman" antagonist.

Game of Thrones star Kit Harington plays the bad guy Admiral Salen Koch in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Now, he's talked more about why he said yes to the project and what he thinks about the character.

In a new video, Harington said it was a "no-brainer" to get involved with the Call of Duty franchise, which he remarked is the biggest gaming series on the planet. He also was attracted to the game because he is a "space freak" and has never played a villain before.

"I'm personally a bit of a space freak, so this game being set in space is just a brilliant step for the game," he said. "What excited me about it was it was a villain. I've never played a villain before."

Harington, who plays Jon Snow in the HBO series, also talked about what kind of person Admiral Koch is.

"My take on Admiral Koch is he has an element of the dictator about him," he said. "He's an invading commander; he's someone who wants to control the whole race of people and feels that he's entitled to do that. He's also not afraid of death. That makes him incredibly terrifying.

"He's a madman; I found that very fun to play."

Like other great villains, Admiral Koch is psychotic and unpredictable, Harington said, which made for a "really interesting challenge" to bring the character to life.

Overall, Harington said he enjoyed the motion-capture process for Infinite Warfare and would absolutely return for another game if presented with the right opportunity.

"This felt quite theatrical to me," he said about the recording process. "It's something I would definitely, definitely do again. I found it freeing. It was a lot of fun."

Infinite Warfare launches on November 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This week at Comic-Con, developer Infinity Ward released some new campaign footage and revealed that a new version of a fan-favorite Modern Warfare 2 map will be included in the game.

A remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is also on the way, but the only way to get it is to buy one of Infinite Warfare's premium versions.
