Thief Reboot Dev Responds To Rumors Of New Game -- "Forget It"
Eidos Montreal boss says the rumors may not be true.
The studio head at Thief reboot developer Eidos Montreal has responded to the rumors that the team is working on a new Thief game. David Anfossi shared a humorous picture today of a fake Thief 5 screen to shut down the speculation--it's not happening, apparently.
He joked, "Apparently we're developing Thief 5 game! So now we have a title... We just have to build a team, a budget... Forget it!"

Eidos Montreal recently celebrated its 10th anniversary as a studio. In a blog post celebrating the milestone, the studio revealed that development on Thief started all the way back in 2008. Eidos Montreal, which was acquired by Square Enix in 2009, also worked on Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
The studio is now working on an all-new Avengers game in partnership with Marvel.
