These Star Wars PS2 Games Now Available Individually on PS4

A blast from the past.

Three of the PlayStation 2-era Star Wars games included with the Star Wars Battlefront PS4 bundle are now available to buy individually on PS4. The games are Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, and Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, and you'll find PlayStation Store download links below the image.

All of the games feature up-rendered 1080p graphics. They also all include Trophies and support for PlayStation services like Shareplay, Remote Play with PlayStation Vita, and activity feeds.

Bounty Hunter and Racer Revenge are also available on PS3.

Super Star Wars also came with the Battlefront PS4 bundle--but it's been available individually on PS4 (and PS Vita) for some time now.

These games cost $10 each. Sony's PS2-on-PS4 functionality does not exactly constitute backwards compatibility, however, as you'll have to buy these again even if you already own them and still have the discs.

I've been playing KOTOR on my tablet, next I'm gonna get all these... even Bounty Hunter, which I played long ago on my Gamecube. Love it.

@alldaelong: Just picked up Kotor 1 & 2 for the Xbox the other day, $8 total complete in box w00t

I picked up Bounty Hunter, really liked that game. I never liked Jedi Star Fighter that much and Racer Revenge was complete crap compared to Episode 1 Racer.

They should release all their classic greats on the PS2 and 1 this way we don't need to spend like 60-100 for an old game.

Picking up Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. Criminally underrated Star Wars game.

Jedi Starfighter was pretty good wasn't it? Bounty Hunter was a cool concept but kind of boring.

I'm still crossing my fingers and folding my hands for Battlefront 2

Avatar image for Barighm

@bearattackxpert: Never. That would directly compete with the new Battlefront and EA won't allow that.

Avatar image for TeknoBug

@Barighm: You can still get Battlefront 2 on Steam, I don't see why not.

@Barighm: sadly true...

@Barighm: Heh heh so true

Avatar image for rosinmonkekyx17

@Arsyad00: But technically it's not

Avatar image for Boddicker

All crappy games.

Avatar image for rosinmonkekyx17

@Boddicker: Take your whining somewhere else, this place is for gamers

Of course Playstation gamers will buy these games, they dont care that its not true backwards compatibility. All the talk I ever heard about the Ps4 having value now look at all of our standards.

Avatar image for fig56

@kentray1985: GTFO. Why do you care how people spend THEIR money? And you the f**k are you to place value on the purchases others make? Go play the games you like and want and let others do the same. F**king low life.

@fig56: Get a life tool shed, life wishes you were as serious about it as your precious. Get out of Moms basement!!!

Avatar image for fig56

@sleepnsurf: Sorry bud but I don't argue over peices of plastic like some of the tools of this website. I own ALL systems including a PC. I have job that allows me to do so. Oh and if 5 bedroom 3 bath, 3 car garage home is considered a basement then I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. Have fun being poor and only being able to afford one console.

@kentray1985: First off, these games have upgraded graphics

Unlike Xbox, for example, Halo Reach?

Avatar image for edinko

@rosinmonkekyx17: Lol no. They have NOTHING upgraded they run in an emulation wrapper in higher res thats it. ITs a scam. You fanboy morons should stop giving free BJs to companies that are exploiting your stupidity

Avatar image for rosinmonkekyx17

@edinko: You obviously don't know who I am

If you did, you would realize I'm not a fanboy

This guy, LOL

Avatar image for Barighm

@kentray1985: And Xbox gamers don't care that the X1 doesn't have true BC. Heck, they even ASKED for the option to buy their old games. Don't believe me? Go ahead, just search GameSpot's archives. Phil said it.

Avatar image for suicidesn0wman

@Barighm: Doesn't matter if you declare it 'true BC' or not, the important matter is that it doesn't cost anything extra for people who already have the game. Plus they are working on adding the Xbox 360 store on X1, so I'm not sure how this can be twisted as a negative.

No one is complaining about having an option to buy BC games, only that the option to play those BC games that you already own is not being offered.

@kentray1985: idiot

Avatar image for gotrekfabian

@kentray1985: Err, no I won't. I am one of the people who are disenchanted with Sony due to their lack of support for backwards compatibility. Some of these games they are releasing from the PS2 era are still part of my collection and I fail to see why I shouldn't be allowed to play them without purchasing another license for software I already own. Itsnbad enough that PS3 titles aren't backwards compatible but PS2? Sony really are scraping the bottom of the barrel here.
