Last Chance To Snag Two Great PC Games For Free On The Epic Games Store
Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Aztez are the next Epic Store freebies.
Another month, another free game promotion over at the Epic Games Store. Right now, you can get Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Aztez, but you'll have to grab them quick--the offer expires February 20, when they'll be replaced by another pair of freebies, including Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. To claim the current games, all you need is a free Epic account.
Released in 2018, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a realistic action-RPG that takes place in medieval Bohemia during the age of the Holy Roman Empire. You play as Henry, a young peasant out for revenge after watching his parents die during a vicious massacre in his village.
Critic Brett Todd awarded the game an 8/10 in GameSpot's Kingdom Come: Deliverance review. "It's an impressive and unflinching look at the medieval era that transports you inside the compelling story of a real person caught in the middle of a civil war. As such, this is one of those rare, memorable games that stays with you long after you stop playing," Todd wrote.
Aztez also revolves around a historical empire, but it takes itself less seriously. A side-scrolling beat 'em up rendered in black and white, Aztez has intricate combos and incredibly satisfying animations. Aztez also splices an interesting turn-based meta-game between the side-scrolling levels. The game uses randomization to make each run through the campaign feel different.
